The Players Guild Theatre Performing Arts Academy has been carefully designed to focus on the highest quality performance standards of singing, dancing and acting. "The Academy" will be led by our dedicated and passionate staff of experienced professional artists alongside our State of Ohio board certified teachers. The impact our instructors are making in the lives of our community's youth is what makes The Players Guild Theatre Academy, Canton's Premier Performing Arts Academy.

A 5 Week Summer Workshop
June 28th - August 1st
Monday - Thursday: 10-3:30pm & Friday: 10-12pm
Students ages 6-18 are encouraged to dive into the magical world of Theatre while creating a hilarious & adventurous production.

The Performing Arts Academy workshops offer immersive and topic specific training. Work with experienced instructors and build and sharpen your theatrical skills.
Auditioning for Musicals (ages 15+)
Whether you have auditioned for dozens of musicals or you have always wanted to but never found the courage, this workshop is perfect for you. Here you will work one on one with the Players Guild’s Resident Director on how to best prepare for and grow from each audition. You will learn the “do’s and don’ts” of audtioning, including what not to wear, what to sing, what not to say, how to handle rejection and success, along with how to best prepare for a callback. A perfect opportunity for those wanting to gain confidence and sharpen their auditioning skills.
October 3-24, and January 16-February 6; Saturdays 2-5 pm

The Teen Experience (ages 13-19)
The Teen Experience will introduce and develop acting, singing, and movement techniques in the areas of pop, rock n’ roll, gospel, juke box musicals, hip hop and much more. The styles conveyed throughout, closely reflect the form and structure of the musicals being written for the 21st century. This workshop will challenge teens and offer them the skills needed to succeed in their artform.
