Page to Stage
The Page to Stage outreach program was created to increase awareness of the arts and theatrical opportunities in Stark County by providing teachers and community members an alternative source of fine arts education. The program under the direction of Players Guild staff produces a live theatrical production for touring purposes throughout local schools and the community.
The traveling troupe, performs a new show each year for schools lacking funding for outside theatrical activities or the time and resources to develop their own programming. The content of the Page to Stage touring production was developed using K-12 fine arts curriculum standards and incorporates literature, published plays and original works. Additional instruction includes other areas such as improvisation, costuming, make up, and building a character.
The goal is to provide affordable theatrical experiences for schools by enhancing their fine arts programming. We strive to enrich the cultural lives of our community by providing nurturing and educational theatrical experiences which inspire, empower and awaken the artistic imagination of our youth.
